Hana Alfikih, also known as Hana Madness (b. 1992), is a visual artist from Jakarta. She grew up in an unsupportive environment but discovered in high school that art was a cathartic outlet, helping her cope with psychological and physical challenges. In 2012, she began using her art to raise awareness about mental health issues in Indonesia, drawing from her experiences as a mentally disabled person. Hana’s work, which often reflects her mental health struggles, has become a powerful tool for challenging stigma and discrimination. Her art has not only gained national attention but also international recognition, allowing her to succeed as a professional artist while embracing her identity as a disabled individual.
